Explorative 'Sense of Place' Pattern-making and Collaborative Mural

The children were encouraged to experiment with a wide variety of different materials, and also to explore their surroundings - looking at the everyday in a different way. They completed numerous exercises based on fundamental drawing skills, and developed their sense of design through pattern making. Group collaboration enhanced their interpersonal and communication skills, as they worked together to transform individual patterns into one cohesive mural design that illustrated their collective non-literal sense of place.
